CONTROLLING YOUR SOUNDSERVER USING INFRARED

Infrared control is available for the S2000 from its front panel IR receiver. Each SoundServer is supplied

with an IR handset that allows you complete control of music playback. There are also many other

controllers available that can be integrated with a complete AV system.

You can use many of the industry standard in-room controllers to pass the IR commands from individual

rooms back to the SoundServer, for example:

Various IR handset options are available from Imerge plus many other OEM devices:

•

Black XiVA Handset. Supplied with every SoundServer, this handset offers total one way

control, but without the benefit of any visual feedback.

•

Philips Pronto, Marantz RC5000 or Yamaha RAV 2000 can each be programmed to control

your entire AV system. With the aid of the XiVA Pronto programming software you can easily

update the Pronto/RC5000/RAV via a PC.

•

XiVA tacta software runs on many Palm OS PDAs offering complete one-way IR control from a

touch screen, with the added benefit of simple one touch synchronisation of database with the

SoundServer. It can also be used in two-way wired mode to offer the ultimate in control.

•

Sony RM-DX200 CD Jukebox emulation is also possible, allowing it to be controlled by many

different controllers that offer this facility.
